My mouse FREAKS out when I have iTunes playing on my computer when Im editing. It becomes possessed and clicks on stuff Im not clicking on then does what ever it wants. To get it to reset, I have to restart the computer.
I tried different mice, new pad, new what ever (including a new computer - which is AWESOME! its like 4 computers in one box!)
Anyway, it didnt fix my mouse + iTunes freakin issue. Anyone else have this happen? | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

Is the music you're listening streaming music, or is it reading off an external hard drive?
Do you also have a third party mouse? If so, try reinstalling the drivers for it.

Just off the top of my head, if it's windows, I'm still thinking driver issue with the mouse. Did you load any software before this started to occur?
Why I'm thinking it's a driver is is when you restart, everything is fine, but when you launch both itunes and cs4, your mouse acts weird.
Does it occur when using only cs4?
Does it occur when using only itunes?
EDIT: You mentioned you tried the mouse on a second computer, what happened, any issues? Did it act weird, if so, then the mouse is bad.

Hey! Thanks. Its a PC. Only with CS4. And only when BOTH programs are running at the same time. The longer its running, the worse it gets. Didnt load anything new. Got a new computer too. It still does it. That was part of the reason why I thought there may be a conflict with the programs?
PS - I seriously dont know what Im talking about with programs... I just know it keeps happening so that I should listen to stuff on my ipod and not itunes. Its majorly annoying.

So, if it's happening on the new computer, the mouse is bad. Correct me if I misunderstood you. Find another mouse to see if that fixes your problem.
Is the mouse wired or wireless? Type/Brand of mouse?

I second Ken's question - wireless or wired mouse?
Also, do you have the latest updates for both CS4 and iTunes?

I think we have the updates. I hate updating, but Mike does it all the time.
Its a wired mouse.
it becomes very noticeable how wacky it is when using the lasso tools. they dart all over the screen. it only seems to go bonkers when itunes is playing. maybe thats something else? i assumed it was the mouse or the program (since I already changed mice, reinstalled drivers, and bought a new computer).
I googled the problem specific with the lassos and stuff is popping up...but I havent found a clear answer besides CS4 is "glitchy."

If i'm repeating myself, my apologies...this is happening on your new computer as well?
Latest patches for both iTunes and PS CS4?
Which version of windows on both PC's if they both have the same symptoms.
Does it happen at the same song? :)

Is there only one mouse in the area? This happened to me but not with CS4 but everything. Come to find out my husbands laptop mouse was conflicting with mine when we were sitting side by side. I have a wireless and he has his connected with the USB.
It was kind of fun messing with his when we finally found out the problem.
I'm sure your is a separate problem. Hope it get's resolved quick!

Hey! Nope, different times, different songs. This happened on the old computer and the new one.
I do have 2 computers next to each other at a 8' long work desk. The mice are about 4' apart.

What is the Operating System on your PCs?
How much memory do you have on the computers and what is CS4 set to use of that memory?
Do you have any video memory in use?
I'm thinking this is a memory issue.

I have 7gigs of RAM. I thought that was a decent amount.
I was pushing through google looking for the answer...alls I found were other people who were told they were nuts when they had the same problem. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
