I have not used it but have downloaded it to see what it offers. Might be an alternate if photoshop isnt affordable?

The little security guy standing on my shoulder also says to make sure you know what it is you're getting. There are far to many malware programs out there being embedded in other programs.

Not sure about what ships with a Mac, but WinDoze ships with free software to do that. The software might not work, but you know who to blame. Picassa is free also. Gimp is free.
