HCE or HPI maybe?
Also many like Costco prints.

The lady who prints at Wolf Camera on Hwy 6 (Copperfield) does a nice job.

Walmart installed new Epson 7xxx printers when they removed the film machines. Has anyone tried them for large prints?

I've been using PhotoSource, 5106 Louetta in Spring Texas.
They've been doing an excellent job.

Not sure about smaller prints but Colortech Direct absolutely rocks. They've printed some large canvas works for me and always cheaper than anybody else in town and pretty close to online pricing - Colortech Direct : Welcome

Recent big prints they did for me - http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2753/...b77264ac_b.jpg

^^ Awesome ... I usually use HPI ... but that Colortech Direct place seems pretty good.

Do they put it on a raised place holder as well, or can you ask for them to raise a pic?

I'm pretty sure you can do that. These prints were printed on canvas and I had them stretched and framed by Houston's best (and probably most affordable) - Home

Jay wouldn't it had been cheaper/ more efficient to have them printed and stretched at the same place? i.e. Simply Canvas?
Also what size are those?

Possibly so S-Man. I didn't have much time to shop around for best prices but I did research. Sandro, the guy who stretched the canvas prices were cheaper than anyone else in town. I think most local in the art scene also use him.

As for the color prints on canvas, Colortech was recommended by my friend Scott Carr from Bear Advertising who even does large color printing as well. Now this I did research and found their pricing to be excellent. To put things in perspective, A&E quoted over $300 for 1 - 24"x36" print on canvas. Colortech printed these out for $58 a piece (discounted for printing 7 images). I think the price for 1 was still like $80. The large print 33"x50" was $111.

These prices ^^ we comparable with places I Googled who did solely online printing. Hope the info helps :).
