Changing Colors? - 02-26-2010, 06:42 AM

Can someone tell me how to change the color of this ribbon? I'm making a baby shower invite and purchased some ribbons for a border. The DIL is wanting it to be hot pink but this is the closest I could find. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!Name: ribbon.jpg

CS 4 color replacement.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 * Replace color in image areas

I haven't figured it out completely.

Thanks, Tom but unfortunately, I have CS3. I don't believe that exists in that particular version.

I just made some simple hue and saturation adjustments.

Push the saturation higher and higher while tweaking the hue to get the color you want. You'll also likely want to play with the brightness as well, or the level curves for better control over shadow detail.

Since the background is white (no color) you don't have to worry about it shifting on you. I opened up Image --> Adjustments --> Hue/Saturation and adjust the Saturation and Lightness slider mostly. If you ever need a completely different color adjust the Hue slider (make it blue for a boy!).
