transition glasses

This is a discussion on transition glasses within the Post Processing Central forums, part of the Photography Information category; is there an easy fix for removing the "transistion" on the glasses in pictures taken outside? thanks...

I just asked this question a few weeks ago before I did some outdoor shots of a family where the father had those type of glasses. I ended up having him put his glasses in his pocket between shots, took a few without the glasses (so I would have options) and then had him put them on again for the rest of the shots. Thankfully it was mostly a cloudy day so they weren't as dark as they could have been, but I still had to do quite a bit of photoshopping. Good luck!

By the way, others suggested asking the client to use glasses with clear lenses or without lenses altogether but that's not practical for most clients. My client couldn't see very well without his.

If they're not completely dark, maybe dodge them?
