Embedded exif data - 03-30-2010, 05:33 PM

I like to be able view the exif data in images posted here and I used to upload my photos with the exif intact for others to view. But since upgrading the computer & switching to Win 7 pro all my attachments end up getting the exif stripped from them.

Nothing has changed in the way I convert files for the web. I use Lightroom 2.6 export function with Mogrify plugin to downsize & convert to jpg. After saving I am able to view exif data both within Windows properties and Opanda iExif. But after uploading a photo as an attachment in a thread here the data is stripped out. I can email those same jpg's or upload to my Smugmug account and the exif stays there.

I can't figure out what I may be doing differently now to cause this. Any ideas? Thanks

This is probably a question for Abel.. He's made some changes with the site in the past couple of months, maybe it was that, and not your Win7 upgrade. I always upload to Flickr and just link them.. flickr captures the EXIF info, but then strips it for some stupid reason.

Yes, I probably should have posted this in the Site Info section instead. Thanks for the response Amy.
