OnOne Phototune is doing weird things after I click the apply button. Hard to describe, but I'll try to post a screen capture the next time it happens.

I'm on the Mac. I have Topaz adjust, Portraiture, and an old version of noise ninja. All of these plugins seem to work fine in 32bit mode. Predictably, none of them will load in 64bit mode.

Other than that, so far so good. Content aware fill seems like a good tool.

I don't think ON One has caught up yet to CS5......I would wait a month or 2 on CS5.

Anyone know when CS5 will be available in retail stores? I suppose I could order the box from Adobe but I keep hoping that I'll be able to go pick it up in a store any day now.

If you've seen it at a brick and mortar I'd love to know which one.

I ordered direct for a boxed version three days ago and my order is still pending... I am guessing the direct order inrush must be pretty high.

I haven't seen it in a Retail store here in San Antonio yet. Adobe does have a 30 day trial available for download. You could install that while you're waiting...

I used the trial version last weekend, and got my pre-order Tuesday morning.

They finally shipped mine, sending it over night fedex. I guess they felt bad since I ordered on Monday. Should be here today I guess...

installed a trial version, I like the idea of the minibridge, and ACR offers a lot more tools now. Both pluses IMO.

plug ins...well.... :-/

So far, it's so smooth that it's almost scary.

I have to agree with Bill. The installation and use of CS5 has been so good it's scary. I installed the trial version, which was the full version of Extended. You don't have a choice with the trial version of going with the standard version of Photoshop. When you buy it, removing the trial is not necessary. You only need to enter the the SN and you are good to go when it activates online. It knows you only bought PS standard and not Extended and sets the features accordingly.

Start-up is phenomenal. I don't have any of my plug-ins installed yet. Brushes using paint features are awesome too. It actually shows the brush and what the bristles look like as a preview when chosen.

I've been playing with the Content Aware Fill feature and it has some real bite. There are places where it will require some finesse work to make it look good, especially when you get close to other features or patterns in the photo that are different from the pattern you are working on. It can also repair patterns that have been interrupted by cracks, a hair in the photo, etc. Photos where you can't avoid having telephone poles, wires and transmission lines in the middle of a landscape will be a thing of the past with this feature.
