Question Photoshop CS5 + Mike's Framer - 05-19-2010, 08:44 AM

Has anyone been able to get Mike's Framer script(s) to work in CS5? I got them installed but they just crash.

Having to have CS4 installed just to do framing would be a real PITB.

Thank you!

Looks like his website no longer exists. Do you use Lightroom?

The Framer script is working for me. Did you remember to copy over the style preset to CS5 in addition to the script? It lives under "Adobe Photoshop CS5\Presets\Styles".

Jeff,

I do not think that I did. For some reason, I couldn't find my original ZIP file that (I believe) Mike's Framer came in... with the textual instructions on installing it. So, I just searched my CS4 folders and half-ass'd it. I'll try copying the style preset over.

When I get that working, I'll zip it all up with some simple instructions, and put it on one of my websites... so that it doesn't die. It's a great script!

Thanks!

You should try a plug-in called Mogrify. It doesn't make super pretty borders and frames like Mike's Framer, but it holds its own. Plus it does a lot more.

Thank you! I've been trying to get this script to work with CS5 since CS5 was released. I've been stuck using CS4 to make my web framed files. This did the trick and it now works with CS5.

Thanks again!
