Question Lightroom 2 question - 05-28-2010, 01:54 PM

I've tried the trial version, and I'm certain that I want to buy it. I have found it cheaper online in some stores than Adobe sells it. Is there any reason to buy directly from Adobe that would be worth paying more?

Rachel,

You'll want to buy version 3 not version 2. Version 3 should be released very soon because it's in its second beta right now. As for where you buy it... doesn't matter as long as you're buying the same exact version.

So... download the Lightroom 3 trial version and just use it until the real one is released... then buy it.

Better safe than sorry, I'd buy from Adobe. Just my opinion. Here's many reviews for Z Tech Software from Reseller Rating.

And I agree with Wil. Wait for LR3!

Rachel, once you download and install LRb3v2, find some pics that you previously passed over because they're too noisy, and then play with the luminance and color noise reduction in LRb3v2. The luminance noise reduction is especially amazing. I'm sold on LR3, and am simply waiting for the official release so I can buy it.
