How to remove this SIGN?? ADD NEW IMAGE

This is a discussion on How to remove this SIGN?? ADD NEW IMAGE within the Post Processing Central forums, part of the Photography Information category; I know it can be done...........just not sure I can do it right! Any ideas?...

Courtesy of the rubber stamp tool... This was actually a pretty easy one.

Not sure it'll do you much good with this low res version of the photo though.

Yep, it's the handicap sign I want removed. I know about the clone tool. I just thought there might be a better/easier way. I'm thinking that using the clone tool would not be the best choice for this task.

That was fast!!!! EXACTLY what I wanted. THANKS!! Now, I'll go back and work on the raw image!!!

Humm........ Exactly where is that rubber stamp tool? I have CS3 and have not found it .

Yeah, theoretically it would be better to use the content aware fill function of PS CS5. But in this case it didn't work very well. At any rate, this is the type of removal that the clone too (rubber stamp tool) works well for.

I like it with the verticals corrected. Didn't do a lens barrel distortion correction so it is still a little bloated looking.
