I am not a big fan of the NAPP guys like Matt and Scott...they are not detailed enough, nor exact enough on how things work and use a lot of slang like, "sort of," and "kinda" etc....

The difference is rather simple: Exposure adjusts all luminance levels the same; brightness adjust midtones but without making them completely black on the dark end, or blown out on the white end.
