Computer running a little slow these days? With so many images, your computer may be moving slower than usual, speed it up by reclaiming some hard drive space.

Lightroom is still running like a dog for me... even after the 3.2 update. My last install of Vista was the 32 bit version due to driver compatibility with a printer. That printer has since (FINALLY) died. I am going to try changing it to the 64 bit version of Vista in hopes that access to more memory will help it along. If that does not work, I may need some recommendations for hardware. Wish it was only a hard drive space problem here.

You will have to reinstall lightroom after you upgrade to 64 bit. Infact you might have to reinstall other programs too. The reason is that the programs are written differently in 32/64 bit versions. When you install, the program installs the correct version of LR and other programs like Photoshop.

8 cores and 16gb of RAM and I feel lightroom is still a dog at times. They really need to just focus on performance optimization for their next release.

got one.... helps but at times the programs crawls requiring one to close and reopen it... happens on multiple systems.
