I've taken all of Kathy Adams Clark's classes through LLU. I started with her beginner class and thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a lot. I learned even more from the "homework". She had several exercises in the handout for people to work on later. And she was available by e-mail later to help with questions as they came up and to critique photos.
Important to note that I knew nothing about photography when I took that first class. All of my photography had been with a point and shoot or an SLR on fully automatic.
The class was very basic, but I needed it to get a good understanding of the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO which I did. Kathy also did a great job explaining depth of field and had a good exercise in her handout which helped a lot. She also showed a lot of photos to explain her points. Her explanation of the different meter modes was illustrated with several photos showing the difference.
I haven't taken photography courses by any of the other teachers.
