I have a carbon fiber hood on my car....Would you lilke me to take a picture of it and you can try and copy it?

If not, the color is a little off. Its actually not black/gray. I'll take a picture if it, load it and post it back here, just give me like 10+ min.

Yours is a little better than mine. Its cold outside and i wanted to get back in. Lol. Brown. I was gonna say a little more green, but its hard for me to see shades really close together, i.e. blue and purple.

Please pay no attention to the flash and my outline...

I think your render is actually quite good.

I wouldn't think that you would zoom in a whole lot to see what the real CF looks like. I have a hood also, and the Render is pretty close to real if you step back.

Just adjust the color a bit, maybe add a tint that gives it more of that brownish tone. And you should be good to go.

What's your Honey Comb piece suppose to represent in your render?

that might be but i think it will be worth the effort especially if i am going to place a vehicle over the carbon fiber

The honey comb could be like a speaker? Or speaker grille. Put a solid black dot right in the center of the honey comb and you got a speaker.
