Lightroom Metadata Variables

Grrrrrrr! It seems so simple, but maybe it's not. I use ACDSee for one thing that I can't figure how to accomplish natively within LR3. The last thing I do to my images are:

1. Manipulate the IPTC info
a. add copyright info
b. website
c. artist name
d. Add original file name to IPTC title and description under somethings else.

And that is the problem. I can't figure out how to simply take the file name from ever file and add it to the metadata fields I want in Lightroom.

Does someone know of a list of all the variables for such a task?

Everything else I do, watermark, resize, sharpen.... all can be done with ease but... the filenaming? Grrrrr...

I do all of these with a metadata preset.., with the exception of adding the orginal filename to the IPTC and description.

That is an interesting concept that I'll look further into.
