Perfect Photo Suite by OnOneSoftware - 12-09-2010, 11:01 PM

I just purchased the Perfect Photo Suite by OneOneSoftware. The Suite has 7 different programs. I tried the PhotoTune 3 and found it very user friendly. Below is an original shot and then an after photo. This wasn't the program which enticed me to purchase the suite and you can get the same results with other programs. But as a stand a lone program, I thought it was pretty good.

Original

PhotoTuned

Hurry! See if you can get your money back.

It looks like it did a great job of taking out all the saturation, snap, and punch out of the colors of the original. But it did leave you a great washed out and faded image.

The original shot is a better shot in my opinion.

Well, it wasn't the reason for purchasing the suite. I'll stick with Lightroom and Photoshoto. But I do notice the second photo has less contrast while viewing on my pc. I processed it on my Mac Book Pro. I need to take a look at that because the it definitely looked much better when I was finished. Otherwise, I may have done as you stated.

Maybe it is trying to fix some loss of detail in the defender's shoes, but by doing that I think it lost too much contrast.

Well, I took the original and opened it on my PC with PhotoTune 3. Here are the results using my PC with the program. A little different than it looked after using my Mac Book Pro. But again, the processed photo looked good on the Mac Book.

Original Photo

Processed on PC

Processed on the Mac Book Pro

I still will use Lightroom and Photoshop to do my tweaking as the second photo looks like it has a bit too much magenta tone and not enough green. But maybe that is the results of a first time user.

Here is one of the reasons for the purchase. I wanted to play with the different frame effects program.

The photo frame is pretty cool, but I still say the orginal shot is better than both versions of the photo tune.

Boy, I bet PhotoTune 3 wishes I would delete this post. Or maybe never created it in the beginning.

I'll stick with LR3 and CS3 but I'll kept trying to find a good use for the program since I can't return it.

Blaming PhotoTune 3 or saying it's not a good program is like blaming my uncreative poorly exposed pictures on my Canon 1Ds Mark III. Even using the Wizard Mode rather than the Pro Mode, you make the adjustments and select what you like better.
