I guess it's not really missed... I just have to run it at 32bit in CS5. Supposedly NWP 5.0 is coming.

Time to process on #2 was significantly less

I am using Noiseware Pro on Windows 7 64-bit.

This is from Imagenomic's website:
  • Support for 64 bit CS4 and CS5 is available on 64 bit Vista and 64 bit Windows 7 only - on 64 bit XP the plug-in can be used only in 32 bit CS4/CS5. The current Mac edition of Noiseware Pro Plug-in supports CS5 in 32 bit mode only.
  • Support for 64 bit CS4 and CS5 on 64 bit Vista and 64 bit Windows 7 is available only in Professional edition of Noiseware plug-in for Windows. Noiseware Standard Plug-in can be used only in 32 bit CS4/CS5.

Mac...sorry... They have hung their Mac users out big time...

The funny thing is the Topaz image has more detail... but it takes forever to run

The Noiseware image looks better on my crap monitor at work. Surely a Mac version is coming.

ps: I thought the 1D Mk IV was noise free?

There's no such thing as noise free. It's better than it's predecessor. Good info here

I agree that the Noiseware image is better. It's been almost a year and they haven't done anything for CS5 for Mac users. It runs in 32 bit mode btw so it's not completely useless. Out of frustration I tried Topaz and it's extremely slow and the results, probably due to my lack of skill using it, are not that great.

Stay with what works?
Here's something that will make you scratch your head and say, "Huh?"

Look at the ISO ratings graph. Canon isn't even close to the indicated values. Nikon & Sony are a little closer. None of them on on target.

DxOMark - Sensor rankings

I'm not surprised. Mfg's seem to think that selling sh.. for shinola in a pretty box is the way to do business these days.

Looks like I need to switch to medium format and a Phase One back

Sure. Why not?
One reason not to use a digital camera as a spot meter when shooting film unless you calibrate all your stuff.
