So whats the trick for resizing photos? - 02-10-2011, 08:35 PM

Every time I upload photos to this forum it wont take them, so then I try to re-size them and it works, Problem is I HATE going through all these photos and resizing them individually in paint. Is there a trick to re-size multiple photos at once?

What software do you have?

With photoshop you can run a batch action to resize and just about anything else. With Lightroom you can change an option in your export window to specify size. I have an automator action setup in my Finder settings (Mac OSX) to resize, while iPhoto will also give you the option too.

Hey Zeb, I have 3 separate folders for my pics.

Originals
Edited
Watermarked

After I edit, I send a copy to the watermarked folder and then open it with picture manager and resize all images at once. I don't understand the size numbering in Photoshop (1-12), so I don't use that but I like that in MSPM it's labeled document large, small, web large, small and beside each one it'll have like 800x600, 600x400, etc. It makes sense to me, until I take the 20-40 minutes to google and educate myself on the latter. :)

lol, probably another thread but I make mine in Photo Shop Elements 6. I just googled how to make the banner and have started using that since I'm always battling with where to place my watermark without it taking over the image. I just did a simple banner with my web address.

You can make brushes, save them and then use a brush to watermark your images. Whatever works best for you. The banner has to be saved as a .psd (image) and then you just drag and drop it on your pic and place it where you want it,adjust opacity, etc.
