I believe there was a recent update for either OSX or iPhoto/Aperture. Try running software update and see.

I can transfer them using NX2, but I can't get photoshop to load them so I can do some adjustments. I have to be missing something, thought I downloaded the photoshop update. I'm using CS4.

Being a Canon person, i don't know how New your Nikon is, but I suspect that you need to update to CS5. CS4 may not support your camera. Adobe doesn't update old versions to support newer cameras.

I am assuming you are talking about Raw photos...
