Opening TIF's and PSD's - 02-15-2011, 05:24 AM

Suddenly, my tif and psd files will not open directly in CS5, but rather in Windows Live Mail[default] and Windows Live Photo, whatever these are.
I can still go through Camera Raw to open in CS5, but this is somewhat of a pain.
Up until recently, I had no problem going directly into CS5 from Bridge with Tif's and PSD's.
Any ideas on how to correct this?
No problem opening NEF's.

This is usually just an OS setting thing. There is a control panel section that will do it - but for the life of me I can't remember what that is.

My best suggestion is to right click on a tiff file, select "open with", select your app (CS5 in this case), check the box that makes that app the default, and hit ok.

Can't you go into "Tools", then "Folder Options" and click on "File Types" and change the way the file is opened?
