Photo Edge Effects? - 02-22-2011, 11:29 AM

Hi, I'm looking for really good photo edge effects I can apply in post. Either in photoshop or lightroom. Plug-ins or layered files, doesn't matter. But ease of use and high quality are what I'm looking for. Free or pay, doesn't matter. Mainly interested in stuff that looks like old film/negative edges, polaroid transfer, etc. And mostly to be used for b/w work.

Anything out there you can refer me to?

check istockphoto.com, pretty sure I saw a good variety of "photo borders or frames" on there.

On One photo frame 4.6 PhotoFrame 4.6 - onOne Software

Also, my wife uses this website for edge masks with her digital scrapbooking. I think they have what you're looking for. May have to hunt a little. Their stuff is cheap!!!

+ 100 for onOne PhotoFrame 4.6!

Also try DeviantArt. It's a wonderful photoshop resource.

Sonny: Do you use the whole onOne suite, or just a few of their tools?

I only use PhotoFrame and Perfect Resize (used to be called Genuine Fractals)

Try these:
50 Free Photo Art Borders for Photoshop - Photoshopgirl.com

GDFR-vector-grunge-broder-frames.rar - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download

place over your photo and use the blending mode to screen, soft light or overlay. Try some of the others too to get a different effect.
