It was in the last issue of PopPhoto as a review, and they listed the price for it as the sale prices. Also, I've seen people talking about the deal from the very beginning of this year. I think it's just a sales pitch, and is a perpetual "sale".

PopPhoto and Outdoor Photographer also have 10% off coupon codes in them. I have them if you guys want them.
