Photos taken in public places belong to the photographer. Most Auto magazines won't touch a photo that has been posted on forums or Flickr etc.

Dale,

You are killing us here. Instead of giving us some clues to what you are doing and how you get these incredible images, you post more pictures to drive us crazy. I know you want to do a tutorial on what you are doing, but at least give us some hints how you handle some of these. Maybe that will tide us over until the tutorials come. At least it will give us some starting points so that we can tinker until your step-by-step is released to the public.

Am I right people?

I'm curious where you're getting your backgrounds... can you at least tell me if you shot/processed these separately or did you get them somewhere else?

I think it's pretty safe to say that none of us will be able to replicate your style to the level of "awesome" that you obtain with every image!

+1

I am not normally a fan of heavy digital manipulation when it comes to photography. However, I just love Dale's work and can't get enough of it. Dale, you are one of the photographers that truly inspires me. To anyone who says photoshop isn't art, I will tell them to just come check out what you have done.

I'm glad I inspire someone. I think my stuff looks awful sometimes. Thanks for the kind words David.

I must have missed this thread, but follow your stuff on flickr and hadn't seen too many 'before' pics. That just blows my mind. Blows my mind even more to think of all the car shows I've skipped cause even with processing, the people constantly walking in the background drives me nuts.

While admittedly I LOVE your work and as well, am quite jealous of your skill with Photoshop and your vision, I most enjoy when you post the before shots with your final product. It gives the rest of us something to ponder and realize that you sometimes start with a less than perfect image.
To you sir, I and humbly await your tutorial......
