Should I get a Wacom Intuos4 or used Intuos3? Is it worth buying the latest Intuos4? I would mainly use it in PS.

You get software with the 4. I like my 4. Never used a 3 though, so I cannot say for sure.

Mine had one of the Corel programs, Elements 8 and a few plug ins I think. Upgrade to CS5 was $300 more. Someone on another forum bought one and got Elements 9.

I'm not really sure what the NIK stuff's used with. is it stand alone, or a plug in?

i have been using a 3 for a couple of years and it works fine. haven't really looked into a 4 since the 3 does just fine.
