Digital Watermarks

Does anyone know how to put a digital watermark on their pictures they post online withot puttion them on the picture?

I use Smugmug to post client pics and it will allow me to add my watermark to all the images in a Gallery. When the client orders prints thru Smugmug, the watermark is not on them.

i usually add my own to the photos as i edit them. i place a simple watermark at one corner of my image and i often times go through each image and select the corner i want the logo in. meaning i choose the best corner for it..
