Question Photoshop / Watermark - 07-01-2011, 11:05 AM

I just aquired my first version of Photoshop.
While I'm going thru tutorials I'm needing to create a watermark.
Can anybody give me some direction on how to accomplish this?
Thank you in advance for the input.
Dave

The easiest way would be to add some text to the image, then change the opacity of that (new) text layer to ~50% or so to give it the "watermark" look. This is a one-by-one operation though, not for batch processing.
