Providing images in digital format - 09-04-2011, 08:03 PM

I have a job coming up at the end of the month where I will be providing images in digital format instead of print. The images that I take will be used in their magazine, as well as, on their website.
Any suggestions as to the best way to provide these images (ie: size, format, etc.) since they will be used in different ways? I want to provide the highest quality for print. Should I do so and let them downsize for web usage?
The contract only states 'digital images' and I have not been able to get an answer from the director other than how they will be using them.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
Sharon

Sharon, it would be important to get an answer from the client - the best quality will be 16-bit TIFs, but they will be very large, and they may want something different. When a magazine licenses stock images they usually get JPEG files.

Thank you Paco. I will try to see if there is someone else that I can speak to at the organization. Images will be taken over the course of a week so there will be quite a few.
