Do you mean the XIF data or a watermark?

I only watermark stuff I generate from Lightroom. When I'm in PS, it's to make files for prints. But idea of it is you want to make a transparent background image with whatever you want on it as your watermark; logo, text, graphics etc. Save it and then copy it over the images you want to mark. Make any color or transparency adjustments and you're done.
