Bad sensor, or bad card?

The card is a few years old, but so is the camera. Out of about two hundred images I pulled off the card three of them had issues like this large sections of the image like this and the rest normal.

Last time I had images that looked like that my cf card was the problem. As a suggestion from another member I formatted my card using my computer. Then reformatted it in camera. That seemed to have fix the problem.

I have had this issue before and it appeared to be a lightroom problem. I think there is some "discussion" about what exactly is the problem!! I quit using the cards for a while because they made me nervous...but I have used them since and not had any issues..

just a bad file on the card, reformat as above and it should be fine. I've had these, and sometimes it showed fine in one editor and like yours in another....go figure.

OR don't risk another fail and file for a warranty replacement of the card. That is the safest bet.

Have you checked for a firmware update for your camera directed toward card issues?
