Now that I have graduated to full Photoshop CS, I'm looking for goodies to add to make the workflow easier and/or better. I'm a D-70 raw shooter on a Mac.
What are your favorite goodies (free or $) for Photoshop CS? (I already downloaded Dr. Brown's java stuff)
What do you think of Fred Miranda's stuff? (B&W and Sharpening tools)
What about Neat Image?
Any others?
Thanks,

I love the Nik Color Efex 2.0. I is an awesome variety of very useful plugins. The price is a bit higher than the free stuff though!

I think you'll be OK, they have a thin candy shell. I'm surprised you didn't know that. www.silverstreetphoto.com

Favorites so far:
- Dr. Brown's Image Processor
- Create your own action for the Greg Gorman B&W method
- There's another B&W process with associated actions put out by Peteri something or other from DPReview. I've tried it and have mixed feelings about it (I thought Gorman's was a lot easier and gave me good results)
- Some of the frame actions - or create your own
- I bought Noiseware, though they have a "free" version (I think)
- Create your own brush for your signature/watermark

You might look around this site, http://www.thepluginsite.com/ and see what you can fine. Also a Google search for photoshop plugins should return a lot of hits.

I only use two on a regular basis that I like a lot: Noiseninja and lightmachine. They really get the job done for most pictures.

Just bumping this back up to the top, I have had a lot of people asking about actions I use so I thought I would help them out.

Thanks for doing that...I'd like to add that Dr. Brown's Image Processor is now built in to PSCS2 in Bridge. Tools -> PhotoShop -> Image Processor.

I have a collection of 134 assorted Photo-Shop actions that I'll be happy to email to anyone that wants them. The zip file is only 507k (unzipped, it's 4.6mb). Links to many (probably most) of these actions are already posted in this thread. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
