I have a customer that would like an old photograph restored. Does anyone have any experiences doing this? I know Millers Lab does it, but I'm sure there are others. Any help would be appreciated.

Are they wanting the existing photo restored or do they want it scanned and new image created? Because these are two very different things.

I do a lot of old photo scanning and cleaning of old images digitally and it's very straight forward just get a very good HiRes scan and use the usuall Photoshoop tools, healing brush, patch and cloning tool and any other adjustments as need.

My apologies, they want a new photo made from the old original.

Scan and photoshop it then. Here's a place in Houston that googled up that does just that.

John,

Thanks for the quick reply. Guess I'm not comfortable with my Photoshop skills just yet.
