Can u turn off "Browse" option in CS2? - 09-21-2006, 03:41 PM

Many, many times now in CS2, I click - File - then instead of selecting Open - I end up choosing Browse, which opens Adobe Bridge. Is there a way to disable this option somewhere? Thanks for thr help in advance!

I think you'll be OK, they have a thin candy shell. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

yeah bridge all the way.... little learning curve but better than open file .... also if its a file your working on anyway keep it on a desktop folder and click directly from it to open in photoshop. instead of open file desktop file. much easier that way. oh and i dont know how to turn off bridge.

I make the same mistakes too. Now I just press CTRL + O and avoid the menu issue.

Edit>Preferences>General, under Options, second column, uncheck "Automatically launch Bridge" is only for STARTUP of CS2.

Browse SPECIFICALLY calls Bridge, whether active or not.

Ctrl + O is your best "safe" option.
