New Portraiture Retouching Plugin - 11-22-2006, 11:32 PM

Several threads on another forum including one started by Tim Schooler, one of the best portrait photographers in the business posted this information on this amazing new plug in and so many samples started being posted I had to purchase this amazing little gem!

Notice the way it preserves detail in the hair, eyes, lips, SKIN! Jewelry! The skin alone... WOW! The file was a newly process file and the only thing done to it was the Noiseware plug in and then applied the Portrait plug in. No other touch ups whatsoever.

Link to product:

Orig. at ISO 3200 with the Canon 5D - Shot inside with wireless flash for main light

Noiseware plug in ran on Auto and the new Portraiture Retouching Plugin on auto (yeah the computer did everything in a batch)

This little gem truely has save me a ton of time in processing!

MyKey!!!

Quit giving out all the secrets

Portraiture is a nice plugin but you have to be a bit careful with the settings. It can go overboard IMHO. It does an excellent job with faces, but can destroy other body parts, most notably legs. A little masking or pre-selection can fix that though.

I like it!

It's not like a weekend amateur like me would ever be in the same league as any of you all. I need all the secrets that I can.

FYI, their noise reduction plug in works extremely well too! I shot some of my night images in Italy at 3200 ISO, and although they look pretty darn good printed on fine art paper and convas (thanks Canon!!!) I decided to clean them up a little before I go to press with my book. It's magic!

I should own stock in Canon!

I agree Fran the image posted above was taken at ISO 3200 just to test out this software. I have been using NoiseWare stand alone version for about 2 years now but I am really loving the plug in along with their other two. Just makes a nice workflow.

However with that said, Bibble has a RAW converter which has noise ninja built into it which ROCKS cause I cam apply the noise reduction to my RAW file and not my JPG and I am a strong believe anything I can do to my RAW file is better before I convert it to JPG.

Yes, Imagenomic is putting out some nice plug-ins right now. I met their crew at Photoshop World in Vegas last September and got a heads-up on these new titles. They had large sample image printouts which impressed me very much.

I have an info page for Portraiture here, Noiseware here and RealGrain here.

shutterflypro mentioned the 20% "PNP2006" discount I offer--be sure to grab it before 12/31; it goes down to 10% thereafter (Imagenomic's decision).

Try My Perfect Picture and/or Portrait Professional...You might be surprised at how well they work too. I almost hate to post about them as they are so simple to produce very nice results.

www.myperfectpicture.com

Dirt cheap too.
