"You don't have to be a computer geek to take great pictures with the M8, a camera that lets you make the transition to digital as seamlessly as possible. However, a little education will help you maximize the amazing performance potential built into every M8, and that's why we've initiated the M8 Digital Workshop Tour. Each workshop is limited to 15 people, and will be taught on a professional or a high-end notebook."

I may take it and I don't even have an M8 (yet).

I guess this will be where they teach you how to attach a filter to the camera to get the colors correct?

Bobby Vinton can come out of retirement (or Branson) and sing his old hit,

Lavender blue, dilly-dilly
Lavender green
If I were king, dilly-dilly,
I'd need a queen

I guess the "queen" would be an M8.

Be nice. The Kidlets Photoshop digital images so they can CREATE magenta where it doesn't belong!

Haven't Y'all seen the Marvel Comic look in portraits that everybody is Ga-Ga over?

Surely a bit of Photoshop Profiling can fix anything. Or ruin anything. Depends on where your tastes lie.

I will be going. They provide an M8 for use in the class if you don't have one. Now, I can get some stick time with an M8 and some instruction in C1 at the same time for a modest price.

So, do they turn you loose outdoors with the M8? Or do you just get to take "screen grabs" of the "professional or a high-end notebook?" Do you have to provide your own computer?

There are 10 places left. They provide Mac notebooks (good people). Don't know about the outdoors. What I want to know is do they provide IR Cut filters.

Check out the video on the class. Looks like we get a trip to China as part of the class.

Yeah, sorry for the earlier pot-shot at the M8, but since their handling of the situation has been so poor I couldn't resist. Good luck with the class, looking forward to a mini-review!

You should see some of the abuse I've heaped on Leica about the M8 and Leica's response on LUF. Your shot was a squib compared to those.

But like a smitten lover, I keep going back to them.
