Want to purchase Photoshop CS2 - 02-13-2007, 01:12 PM

I'd like to purchase the program and was wondering if there are any deals anyone knows of. I own Elements 5.0 but that only saves a little. Regarding the student purchase, do you know what they require as proof? I'm only an amateur but am trying to be a student.
I didn't know if they require a college student ID or what. If so, I supposed I could get my son to buy it for me.

Places like Academic Superstore require you to fax or email a scanned College ID.

The require the same for Faculty and Staff.

I got an email from Adobe that they are offering CS2 to Elements owners for $299 online until 2/25/07. I think that is the same as the academic price.

I know you want a deal, but CS3 will be in production soon. You may want to consider waiting.

I can't find the email right now. There was a link to click and it said you needed the original Elements serial number. I will try to find it on my home pc tonight.

CS2 deal - 02-14-2007, 09:56 AM

I think this might be the deal you are talking about: http://store.adobe.com/store/product...ml?id=catCanon

But it looks like their website is a bit hosed right now. Check out the screenshot I grabbed (I ordered it last night, and the final charge was $5.95 for shipping - they charged me $0 for CS2. I am sure they will be calling today, but that's alright - $299 is a good deal):

I purchased it last night but had to call because their website was messed up again where you couldn't even add it to your cart.

I just tried to purchase it, as a Nikon owner though, not a Canon, and they would not let me. I had to have the original email offer from Canon that apparently has an authorization code in it that goes along with your Elements serial number. Booooooooooo.

well, that's like not fair. Did you try to purchase it on the website or did you call the 800 number. If you did it on the web, you ought to try to call them and see if they will give you the same deal. I don't get why they would care what camera you use.
