I rushed in to take this shots of my son getting a new belt at karate and didn't switch from manual to auto focus...any chances of slavaging the photo? Will just using sharpen in PS help?

printing small is about the best you'll get. Sharpening will most likely make it worse actually.

You could always ask for a staged shot.. If its important I would try and redo the shoot!!

If one has the RAW? - 03-03-2007, 05:51 AM

This is with some capture and output layer sharpening. Starting with large RAW starting at ground zero might make a fair 4x5 print.

ok, I did it. I did post several and had troubles getting a couple to post...wierd how some would go on, and some wouldn't. But anyway, the karate photo is on. Any help would be appreciated, otherwise I we will just go pose again...which will probably be the easiest!!
