Spinning Ball effect - 03-16-2007, 04:42 PM

Wondering if anyone has seen an action or tutorial on how to make a ball look like it's spinning. Like if I took a picure of a basketball and then made it look as if it were spinning on my fingertip.

I tried a few things but I didn't really like the results.

Thanks for any help.

Hello Movingex,

Do you use photoshop? If so, try the filter Motion Blur.
1. Select the ball.
2. Feather the selection a bit.
3. Use the motion blur filter to get the needed amount of movement on the ball.

This is how I would do it.

Hope this will work!

/Frank

Saber,

That's what I did already but I could not get a realistic effect. The motion I got was more of a side to side effect rather than spinning.

Thanks for the suggestion.
