A good lab that color corrects at a reasonable rate?? - 03-19-2007, 12:01 AM

Does anyone in the forum know of a good lab that will color correct digital files at a reasonable rate so I don't have to sit at the computer for hours after I do a wedding, color correcting files to upload to the lab.
Oh this is a boring task, surely my time can be spent more on shooting and less on the computer if I could only find a good lab that will do this for me for less than $1.00 a file.
I use McKenna and they do a wonderful job for me but they charge a dollar a file to color correct my images, so, I keep on sitting here doing this until I think I will get arthritis from sitting here so long.
Does anyone here have any ideas to help me out on this?
Thanks for the help
Kathy

You can save alot of time buy not having to color correct. Do a custom white balance before you start shooting and it may slove alot of your problem.

I have to go along with Justin on this.
If the white-balance is set correctly in your camera for each shot/series and your monitor is anywhere near calibrated, paying money for color correction shouldn't be necessary.

Yes, White Balance is the key. Also, if you shoot in RAW and Balance the first shot in each location in ACR you can batch process the other shots for that location usually.

If all else fails I will color correct them for you for 99 cents each : )
