Web Res Standards? - 03-22-2007, 02:41 PM

For my web images I have my horizontal images at 743x512 and vertical at 458x663 (I add a boarder which gives the odd numbers).

This is a good size on my 1024x768 monitor. I have another monitor that is 1440x900, which makes these images seem a bit small. So that got me thinkin, is it time to make the images a bit bigger? Where are you guys at and what are your thoughts on "the standard" screen res size? I know 1024x768 was where it was at, but new monitors are constantly coming out and times are a chaning. Just think, a few years ago 640x480 was the standard. Are we at a time for change????

1024x768 still accounts for over half of all visitors.

Visitors to all websites on the internet, one would assume. W3 is the World Wide Web consortium, and their recommendations are generally considered the standard. I'm not sure all they use to come up with those specific stats.

(I am trying to find a new webhost at the moment, I should fix my sig until then, hunh?)
