Help!! - 03-30-2007, 09:55 AM

I need to purchase a program for editing my photos and I am uncertain as to which one would be best..I have a D-80 w/18-135 and 50mm, both Nikon lenses. I think that Photoshop may be too much for me to absorb and utilize to its full potential..That said, what about Capture NX and Aperture..I have an iMac at my home..I'm learning pretty fast but still have a ways to go..Any suggestions? Thx and this is a great place to visit, I jump on here almost every evening after work (late night) and find this a very fun site!! Thx/Pete

I use Elements 5.0, with which I am very pleased. Recently, I have added Capture NX as well. So far, I really like NX, though I still have much to learn.

Adobe Elements is an awesome package for the money that you spend. Plus, if you ever do decide to move up to the full-blown CS2 or CS3 you'll already have a pretty good understanding of how the Adobe products work.

If you're looking for a good RAW workflow program, I've fallen in love with Bibble Pro. It's only $119 at Arlington Camera.

Aperture is great. Right after the install, it's easy to understand and works miracles. I think you can download a 30 day trial version.

Here's the link. Aperture.
