I can fit about 119 or 120 onto a 2Gb card using my 10.2mp D200. My D70 would probably be able to fit more.

As for how many images I need per card.... I spent 8+ hours in the studio last Saturday. I was working on my 5th 2Gb card. I'm going to start seeing what it's like shooting sports in RAW, which will probably take 2 cards.

Roy, Canon RAW files are compressed with a lossless compression - we don't lose any data but the files are smaller. So yeah, it's a compressed RAW - but with zero quality loss.

Thanks John. I had no idea. I'm still happy with the images I get out of the 20D even if they are only 8.2 mp. I was actually surprised I could get that many on a 2gb card.

Dude - not a thing wrong with 8.2mp. There's plenty of pixels there to produce outstanding images.
