Question CS2 layers acting strangely - 04-09-2007, 12:13 PM

I have several layers in an image, many with masks. Something happened, and now, in the layers palette, when I select a layer, it is highlighted in gray, rather than blue as it was before. The layer masks are not working properly now. I guess I inadvertently changed something, but I can't figure out what.

The layer mask seems to be disabled (can't select it), but I can't enable it. When I create a new mask, it works until I select another layer, then it behaves like it did before (entire layer grayed when I try to select it).

Other documents work normally, so it's something I did to this file.

I looked in the help section, and on photoshopuser.com, but no soution found. Any ideas?

Thanks!
