CS3 Upgrade @ Walmart-$148!!! - 04-24-2007, 05:46 PM

For anyone wanting to upgrade to CS3, Walmart is selling it for $148. It is the best price I've seen. Get them while they are hot. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5702026

Either a Blue Light Special or Price Rollback. Unfortunately, I already got my upgrade last week and don't need another copy.

Just ordered it--won't arrive til next week, but to save $50, it's worth the wait.

No it will not. It only works for PS 7, CS, and CS2. There is an upgrade path from Elements, but you must contact Adobe and buy it directly from them.

Thanks guys, I just bought one. Now - should I buy Lightroom too or is it well integrated in CS3?

Lightroom and CS3/2 are two different animals. Lightroom does not let you do layers and filter effects. It is more like working prints in a darkroom.

Thanks Robert.

I know. I've used CS2 and I've used Lightroom, but I hear that they have merged a lot in CS3. I guess I just have to try it.

Cheers

Oh well, the Blue Light Special is gone. The price rollback is no more.

Oh Well, It'll be back somewhere else before long. After the new wears off.
I have never paid full price for a PS upgrade yet. Buy.com or Amazon will be sending me a sales incentive discount code one of these days because I haven't bought from them recently, I'll use it for that. CS2 is doing fine for the moment. I don't Have to get the new stuff as soon as it is released!
...except for maybe that new mkIII Canon....

Wow. You mean I actually got to a deal in time for a change?

That's amazing.
