Crop Question - 04-26-2007, 08:46 PM

What are the rules for cropping hands off? Where is it acceptable to do it? Brad mentioned earlier that one should not do this. I was just wondering if it would be acceptable to crop the attached photo at the line? This one has the best facial expression but the worst hand position. I suppose I could trade heads between the two shots but I really don't want to spend that much time on processing. Note: I did not get enough room below the hand to leave it in for a 5X7 crop. Any suggestions other than putting a border around the photo?

Thanks,
Rusty

I was taught that if you crop an arm then it needs to be at the bust line. anything below that looks too weird.

Thanks. I knew there was probably a rule out there.

I really need to work on my posing skills. So many things to learn and so little time to do it.

You may not like the cross processing on this, but I thought it would be cool to crop the ball with the emphasis on "girls" with a graduated blur.
