If you have photoshop you can blend the two photos pretty easily. you could upload both photos here and let members play with it and show you some examples.

Sarah, the picture you have here is a little different than the one you linked to. The linked example picture has black backgrounds in both shots making it easier to blend. In your two images the backgrounds are completely different. Not saying you can't blend the two, just that it won't exactly look the same.

Ok, here are the pics separated, if anyone wants to play around with them. Oh, yeah, she did say they could both be black and white if that would help them blend better together. Thanks!!

| Yes I realize they are very different...when I sent her the proof to look at, the picture of the little girl is what she sent back and said she wanted it to look like that. | | | |

I made these two attempts. Neither perfectly imitates her source photo, for the reasons that John mentioned, and both are quick-n-dirty.

Christian,
I really like the second one because you can see the brides full name. I totally suck at this sort of thing, would you mind sharing how to get that effect? Thanks!!

I zoomed way in (800% maybe) and used the "polygon lasso" tool (looks like a lasso rope, but with sharp angles) to outline the couple. I then went to the menu option for "select" and chose "feather" and set that to ... I can't recall, maybe 5? I then copied it.
Next, I went over to the other pic and pasted the copied bit in, and used Ctrl-T (I use a PC ... for Mac users I think it's option-T) to transfor the selection, and held down the Shift key and grabbed a corner of the transform box and resized it to fit. I then deleted some of the bottom of the couple and used the blur tool to get the fade effect.
