Anyone ever run into this problem:

I'm scanning some old 120 (Medium Format) negatives at 4800 DPI. LightRoom does not like the "size". That totally stinks!

Maybe because they are 8-bit jpegs, and not 16-bit tiffs?

Lightroom can't handle anything more than 10K pixels on a side. It's due to a limitation in ACR. Lot's of people complaining about it in various posts on the Adobe user to user forums :-)

Zachary: Nope, that's not it.

Bill: Thanks for letting me know. I didn't see anything in the documentation. I'll just have to downsize them from Photoshop. I'm importing directly from Photoshop so I should be able to go directly to a smaller TIFF or JPG.
