PSCS Picture Package Help - 05-22-2007, 04:49 PM

I know how to create the same wallet size image 8-times under File -> Automate but is it possible to create 8 different wallet sized images on the same 8.5x11 sheet of paper? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Ray -

I don't know about previous versions since I am a new convert from Elements to CS and I am starting with CS3. That said, in CS3 when you select Automate->Picture Package and you select your page layout for (8) 2.3x3.5, you get an 8 section grid in the Layout window on the right. If you put the cursor in each window in the grid and right click you can browse for a file to assign to that position. Once you have selected all of your files, finish the package and print like you normally would.

That is...if you have CS3. Or if the other versions work that way.

Hope this helps.

You could always create a new, blank file that is 8.5x11 and then move each picture onto the blank document.

Whatever you’re looking for is looking for you, too. The catch, of course, is recognizing it when it pops up in front of you.

I tried his once using "contact sheet" but it didn't work too well.

I now just click and drag (or edit>copy>paste). It's definitely a sure way to accomplish what you want.

Another option is to create a template for 8 w/s and then edit>copy, edit>paste into.

I created several templates like this for my daughter. The templates (i.e. each w/s) are orange (just a personal preference) and we copy the image to the buffer, used the magic wand on the orange w/s and paste into.

It's not automated but it is faster than recreating for each portrait job.
