Would a few of you who have a great sense for color review this and tell me if I have my white balance correct yet? Contrast?
I am going to color balance my screen shortly to make this job go a little faster.

WB can be subjective....but your whites are not white...the white part of your target varies by almost 100 points between the shadow and light side. On the brightest side, the whites have alot of blue and green in them...which is why the image has a yellow tint.
open this image in photoshop and look in the INFO pallete to see the RGB values. The white part should be close to R 255, G 255, B 255 ....but not 255 on any...just close. 255 means you have blown highlights.

better but still at little brownish/yellowish
easiest way to WB a file is to open it in Photoshop
go to levels, then select the white point tool and click the part of the image that is supposed to be white. It will make the highlights 255, but then you can just type in 240 or about and be ok. This isn't the best way but it gets you in the ball park

Clint, Thanks. On my other machine which only has Elements on it... But this looks much closer still towards yours and what "seems" normal given my screen. What say you?

Much Better. Actually better than my quick one. if you are shooting in RAW this is a real easy fix. because you can make two clicks and WB the batch.

Since we are on the subject of WB, why is it that sometimes I can shoot a WB target and use the WB tool when opening in Adobe Camera RAW and the WB looks WAY off? To make it more clear. I click the WB dropper on the target and sometimes it looks off really bad. Why is that?

For your first bridal this is a great start. The bride's eyes are captivating, with an almost haunted bedroom look - the symbolism of the contrast card in a submissive role against the monolith of the green background evokes a primal David vs. Goliath response intellectually. I find it well composed, not busy per-se...perhaps mischeviously precocious. A fine artistic statement against the suppression of women in traditional Islamist gender roles.
LOL!
Sorry, couldn't help myself..

I suspect that the modeling lights may have played mischief with the WB here. The target shows some wear and tear and is not perfectly flat...giving the possibility to the existing light to be concentrated on parts of the card. I had the same problem when attempting my first WB and subsequent attempts.
What say y'all?
