Problem with bridge - 06-05-2007, 11:06 PM

I shot a wedding in RAW, then renamed all the raw files using bridge batch rename command. Now when I'm looking at the newly named RAW files in bridge, some of them won't display the image, and only shows a CR2 thumbnail (see below). When I double click on the thumbnail , the image opens fine in ACR. Has anybody experienced this? Is there any explanation?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

UPDATE: I did a search here for this problem (hey, why didn't I think of that before). And I found a different thread with the same problem. It was suggested that maybe the cache was corrupted, and that you can delete the cache, forcing bridge to rebuild it. This seemed to work. Just in case anybody else ever has this problem too.

I had this problem too - just a few images in one directory would not preview.

Gotta check that cache thing and figure out how to empty it and see if it'll work.

Yea, same here! I usually just refresh and it's back to normal.

Just purge the cache on the folder. The rename should have also renamed the cache but didn't

Hey Carolyn! It was a pleasure shooting with you.

Ugh! I wasn't very satisfied with my pics. Not knowing where the wedding party was going to be standing before we went in really screwed me up! But I did get a few good ones, and I had a lot of fun. I'll send you a PM with a web link when I get some processed. How did yours turn out?

It was great meeting you too. I got a couple of good ones too, but not many. I was using an inferior product (i.e. Dori's Canon ) and I never quite got used to the Backbutton focusing. So I have ton of pics that are out of focus.

And the reception was so stinking dark that my camera could not keep up, and I was totally not used to shooting with a flash, since I am natural light. But it seems that will change cause now I am in the market for an external flash.

I'd love to see yours when you have them up, and I will share mine too!
