Cropping & Sizing Question - 06-07-2007, 08:36 PM

What method do you use? If I have a photo that I did not leave as much room on top as I would have liked to, I do not want to lose another 1/4 inch when putting it in a frame.

I can go to canvas size and add 1/4 inch white border to solve the problem but that changes my aspect ratio of the 11 x 14 crop I made originally. It makes the size 14.25 x 11.25.........then if I go to image resize with constrain proportions checked and put in 14 for width the height becomes 11.053 not giving me a true 11 x 14.

Just wondering how you handle adding a white border.

I just added 1/4 inch to it, then cropped for 11 x 14. I lose a little of the white border on top and bottom but not much. That should work I guess.
